Have you get a big mouth? Do you often speak out the truth as you know it and someone has been slandered or gossiped about?Does fresh water and bitter water com our of your mouth?Do compliments and prayers come out of your mouth that sound so good and also back biting and slander and all kinds of evil?I know it is true for me. It feels so good discussing our problems with a person with another Christian. "Then I said this and do you know what eh did then.""No?" Your concerned asks."He three the plate down on thee ground. Smashed it and stormed out and said I was the worst wife out of all his friends. And what's more all his friends have said he should leave. Betty I don't know what I should do."It sound alright. It's okay isn't it? It's the truth. Surely it's not bitter water coming out of her mouth. What is she supposed to do with her life?You have to ask yourself is what you say done with good conduct and with meekness and wisdom?James 3:13-16 (New King James Version)13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.Does your story make you feel good, does it make you look like an unjustly treated victim. Are you seeking comfort from a friend when you really are the most demanding and worst wife that exists among all his friends? Have you got the message of your husband or won't you change and is this looking for sympathy when you should be on your knees repenting?Lets get away from that example. Are you like me who looks at the ten speakers in your church and see that you would do a better job at preaching if given half a chance? Are you full of envy of the speakers who are humble and have been chosen by God to preach in your church? When you speak at how good you could preach at church and how you would make people sit up is what you say not running down others down and positive or are you just being self seeking like me? My attitude was earthly and sensual and had demonic roots!It's hard to live like that. It's hard to get by and live with unjust treatment and keep your mouth shut and just pray for God to turn it around in his time. It's hard to be humble when you know all the answers. It's hard to love the truth when the truth seems so easy to say and not open your mouth and give the pastor a bit of the truth.The truth might be that he knows you can preach but might be getting told by Jesus not to give me the time in the pulpit to develop my pride issues. I was so fed up I had a half an hour rant at him and left his church and have not gone back. I go to a church now that lets me speak each day and with a shepherd that loves me and knows how to show their love to me. I am going to repent with my attitude with my minister but have not apologised yet for my ranting. It's hard for me to say sorry.James has the answer.James 3:17-18 (New King James Version)17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.Is this your type of wisdom? When you are not getting treated right by another person are you gentle with that person and peaceable and willing to yield to their way of doing things? It's a hard ask and in some issues I fall way short. With my pastor I did not pass this test. I will make peace but I have left the church and so there will be no preaching in their church by me.And who would want this angry guy to preach n their church. Here I am illustrating a little article with how rotten I am. Once again I find another scripture that cuts me up and write about it. Do you fell convicted by anything I write?Do you have any envy or self seeking boastful behaviour in you?You need to take it to the cross of Jesus and put it to death.James 4:7-10 (New King James Version)7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.There is the answer. Turn to God with your sin and cry and fast and pray and let your tears be genuine as you mourn how bad your behaviour is and in your humility the Lord will see you bowed down and he will deliver you from your sin and lift you up with the power not to do it anymore. If you can repent without tears, I pray that you don't do the sin again, I have found I need to get very sad before I get an success. James is so wise when He shows this process. Then you need not to yield to future temptations.If your heal your life in one area and stop yielding to temptations in that area for that sin you will be given a crown of life over that sin and it will be broken forever like my sex addiction and the temptations will be so weak its like you are not even being tempted.James 1:12 (New King James Version)12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.God never tempts anyone but we are all tempted by our own flesh or from Satan. When we first get the thought to go and see the sex worker. Right away we have to put that out of our minds. If we start to wonder who is going to be in their today and we go to the phone and ask who is working today we are being drawn away by our won desires and helping the though become full grown. When they answer us and they say the girl we like are in there suddenly the temptation is too much for us and we go. This is very important even if you don't have a sex addiction. We have to know that a temptation only gets stronger when we dwell on it. The scripture says.James 1:13-16 (New King James Version)13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.Grace comes from God and it is a perfect gift for a man or women that has been set free from a sin. The gift of grace God gave me for my sex addiction was a powerful way I could turn from my sin. When I think I am dong the rejecting of the temptation in my own flesh I am foolish and likely to fall in sin. God's gift came from above and now I have more money to spend on other things.James 1:17-19 (New King James Version)17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.19 So then,[ my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;A mistake in the past I have made is to boast and reach that leaving sin is so easy based on my temporary relief from my sex addiction and I was like a man talking about his plans for the next year and how he was going to make all sorts of money from investments. I was not slow to speak and hurt people with my speech and my judgemental attitude and boasting.James 4:13-17 (New King James Version)13 Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will[a] go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit"; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that." 16 But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.So touch would God willing I will stay free of my sex addiction and with much work I will get rid of my pride and get a whole lot better then I am. With God's blessing I will have 60 articles put together one day in a book and I will be bless many people with the book.I pray that I have helped you see something you should be doing and that you might be sinful. The job you have got to do is to pray and repent and turn from your sin. I pray that you get a blessing from God and conquer your sin..Let me prayFatherI pray that you come and meet this person and show them where they fall short of your glory. I pray that they can be honest with you and can bring the sin they have to your cross. I pray that they might tell their pastor and work together with him to find the grace you have, the power that you will give for them to conquer their sin.
